Anna University to offer new Engineering courses from 2006

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 23 (UNI) Anna University, one of the premier varsities in the country would offer four new post-graduate (PG) engineering courses and two under-graduate (UG) engineering courses from the coming academic year.

Talking to newspersons here yesterday, D Viswanathan, Vice Chancellor of the Varsity said the PG courses were, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Water Resources and Irrigation Management, Computer Science and Engineering in WEB Education and Bio-Medical Engineering.

He said the UG courses were Materials Science and Engineering and Agricultural and Irrigation&Engineering.

Dr Viswanathan said Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses would be offered through Correspondence course.

The total programmes offered in the Varsity were 87 PG and 36 UG, he added.
