Amway launches weight management product in AP

Vijayawada, Mar 23 (UNI) Amway India, a leading direct selling company, today launched 'Positrim,' a weight management product, in the city today.

Addressing a press conference after the launch, Amway India Distributor Relations and Marketing Director Stephen Beddoe said 'Positrim' was a nutritionally balanced meal replacement product with low fat content.

Each 53 gm scahet offered almost a third of daily value of all essential vitamins and minerals and helped lower weight.

Mr Beddoe expressed confidence that Amway's turnover could touch at least Rs 700 crore by the end of the year as against the targeted Rs 750 crore.

He said the company had drawn up an aggressive strategy to achieve ten per cent growth rate during fiscal 2005-2006.

Amway will launch 14 new products and grow the distributor base by at least 20 per cent besides strengthening the home delivery network to reach over 2,500 cities and towns by the end of the fiscal.

Earlier, Mr Beddoe inaugurated a fully computerised state-of-the-art local ordering centre, the fourth such centre in the in the state, here.

He said Andhra Pradesh had emerged as one of the top three markets in India, the other three being in Kurnool, Vishakapatnam and Tirupati.
