17.44 MT of coal sold through e-marketing during Apr'05-Feb'06
New Delhi, Mar 23 (UNI) The public sector Coal India Ltd (CIL), during the period April 2005-Februrary 2006 sold 17.44 million tonnes (MT) of coal through e-marketing against the offer of 21.32 MT.
The average increase over notified price during the period was 49 per cent. A total number of 26,148 bidders participated in the process and 17,310 were successful.
During February, e-marketing was conducted in all the coal producing companies of CIL. The provisional result of the auctions indicates that CIL has made a total allocation of 2.61 MT of coal as against total offer of about 3.6 MT.
The total number of bidders participating in the auction was 2,902 out of which 2,269 emerged successful in their bids. The gain over the average notified price was 43 per cent and over average floor price was 19.2 per cent. UNI BBS VD VC1740
