TDP chief unfit as Oppn Leader: BJP

Hyderabad, Mar 22 (UNI) The BJP state unit today asked the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu to resign from the post of Opposition Leader for his 'failure' to exert pressure on the government for placing the files of Sripadasagar Ellempally project, in which the alleged irregularities to the tune of Rs 400 crore had taken place, before the Speaker.

Addressing the press here, Party Unit President Indrasena Reddy alleged the TDP Chief had lost confidence after losing power in the state and even failed to play a role of opposition leader of the state.

The TDP should elect a capable person as the Opposition leader from the party in the place of Naidu, he suggested.

Accusing Mr Naidu of colluding with the government on the issue in the Assembly, he charged Mr Naidu, as an Opposition leader, was taking decisions against the interests of the people of the state.
