SSLC exams in Pondy on Mar 29

Pondicherry, Mar 22 (UNI) The SSLC examinations in the union territory will begin on March 29 with 12,257 students from government and private schools scheduled to appear for the examinations.

In a release here today, Chief Educational Officer C Krishnaraj said 5,991 boys and 6,266 girls will be appearing for the examination in 32 centres here.

Private candidates numbering 1,737, including 1,146 boys, will appear for the exams.

The matriculation examinations will begin on March 27 with 1,160 students, including 684 boys will write the exams.

Seven flying squads comprising 42 members have been constituted to prevent any malpractices during the examinations.
