Silver zooms up, gold flat

Mumbai, Mar 22: Values of silver zoomed up today while gold remained steady on moderate demand in the opening session, traders at the bullion market here said.

Following were the rates: Silver (per kg).999 fineness grade : Rs 14,720, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 8,000, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 8,045.
