ORR first phase by Dec 2007: YSR

Hyderabad, Mar 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the first phase of the proposed Outer Ring Road (ORR) will be completed by the end of December 2007.

The Chief Minister who was responding to a presentation made in his chambers in Legislative Assembly building here said a plan should be prepared for speedy completion of the prestigious project.

He stressed on the need for better coordination with funding agencies and financial institutions in its smooth execution.

The proposed ORR will connect the capital with Hitech City, Indian School of Business, Hardware Park and the International Airport.

The ORR would also link the National Highways Nos 7 and 9 apart from touching the six state highways.

Once in place, the ORR was expected to decongest city roads.
