Naxal blasts affect NMDC work

Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh), Mar 22 (UNI) Cartage of iron ore has been affected at the NMDC's Bailadila mine in Dantewada district following blasts triggered at four locations by naxals.

SP Praveerdas told UNI that crushers belonging to contractors Heliwal and Papapad were targetted late last night and three tractors wer torched. An explosion went off at Aakara Nagar and an Essar pipeline damaged leading to water leakage.

The rebels left behind a pamphlet demanding ending of the 'Salwa Judum' anti-naxal campaign.
