Moddu Sreenu, 12 accused in Paritala case in Hyderabad jails

Hyderabad, Mar 22 (UNI) Julakanti Srinivas Reddy alias Moddu Sreenu and 12 other accused in the TDP MLA Paritala Ravindra murder case, were shifted from Anantapur jail to Hyderabad and kept in Cherlapally and Chanchalguda jails.

With this, only the prime accused Maddelacheruvu Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri remains in Anantapur jail.

The shifting of the accused from Anantapur jail to Hyderabad, as per the Anantapur Court directions, comes in the wake of reports that Suri, Moddu Sreenu and other accused were creating trouble for jail personnel. Moddu Sreenu was the alleged main shooter of Paritala Ravindra.

All the 13 accused were brought to Hyderabad amidst tight security.

Moddu Sreenu, Rekamaiah and four other accused were sent to Cherlapally Jail, while seven others to Chanchalguda jail. There are reports that Suri would also be shifted from Anantapur jail.

It may be recalled that Paritala was killed on January 24, 2005 and the CBI took over the case on February 4, 2005. Though other accused were arrested earlier, Moddu Sreenu was arrested by Cyberabad police after a freek blast in Chandanagar lodge on November 17, 2005.
