KVB hikes interest rates

Chennai, Mar 22 (UNI) Karur Vysya Bank raised the interest rates for fixed deposits, domestic term deposits and senior citizen deposits, from today.

For 15 to 29 days domestic term deposits the rates had gone up by 0.25 per cent from four per cent, a release here said.

The revised interest on term deposits for 30 days and above and upto and inclusive of 45 days was 4.75 per cent compared to 4.25 per cent.

Interest for deposits for 46 days and above and upto and inclusive of 90 days was 5.25 per cent against five per cent while 91 days and above and upto and inclusive of 179 days would fetch an interest of 5.75 per cent compared to 5.50 per cent.

Deposits for 180 days and above but less than one year would get an interest of 6.25 per cent against six per cent.

Three year and above deposits and inclusive of five years would earn an interest of 7.50 per cent, compared to 6.50 per cent.

Interest on deposits abvoe five year period would get an interest of 7.50 per cent against 6.25 per cent.

For senior citizens, deposits for one year and above and upto and inclusive of five years, the bank had raised the interest rate to eight per cent, the release added.
