Jessica case: HC issues bailable warrants on accused
New Delhi, Mar 22: Delhi High Court today (Mar 22, 2006) issued bailable warrants against prime accused Manu Sharma, son of Haryana minister Vinod Sharma, Vikas Yadav, son of former Rajya Sabha MP D P Yadav and other accused in the Jessica Lall murder case.
A division bench of Justice Manmohan Sarin and Justice Manju Goel directed the accused not to leave the country without permission.
The Delhi Police had filed a petition in the High Court challenging the acquittal of all the accused in the murder of model Jessica Lall in 1999.
The court asked Manu to furnish a bond of Rs one lakh and the other accused a bond of Rs 50,000 each for their release on bail.
The court has fixed April 18 as the next date of hearing.
