Fraud case against ex-minister's kin

Neemuch, MP, Mar 22 (UNI) Former union minister and senior BJP leader Sunderlal Patwa's kin were among five people against whom a case has been registered for fraud and other charges, official sources said today.

Sundaram Exhibitor Pvt Ltd's Rajendra Kumar Jain filed a lawsuit, in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Avdhesh Kumar Mishra, alleging that Mr Patwa's younger brother Sampatlal, his wife Nirmala Devi, son Bhushan, their assistants Chandresh Erun and Sunil Sharma forged title deeds for taking control of the company's property and even had some documents signed under duress.

The documents were presented in the Gwalior office of the Assistant Registrar of Companies.

The lawsuit said, in spite of a report, local police were not taking any action against the accused owing to political pressure.

On March 7, CJM Mishra directed registering of a case under sections 420, 417, 464, 465, 466, 471, 472 and 474 of the IPC and the police did so on March 17.
