Former UP minister surrenders in land scam case
Lucknow, Mar 22 (UNI) Former Uttar Pradesh minister and senior BSP leader Naseem-ud-din Siddiqui today surrendered before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) in connection with a land scam case.
Earlier, a sessions court had acquitted Siddiqui and another accused in the scam pertaining to Unnao district.
The state government had challenged the court order in the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court, which directed the former minister to surrender before the CJM here.
Meanwhile, Siddiqui produced two bonds of Rs 40,000 and a surity of like amount in the court of CJM Dharmaraj Mishra.
