Crime branch exempted from RTI Act, 2005

Kohima, Mar 22 (UNI) The Nagaland government has exempted the crime branch of the Nagaland Police from the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

Nagaland Additional Chief Secretary Lalthara, in a notification stated that information pertaining to allegations of 'corruption and human rights violation' would, however, not be excluded from the operation of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
