Contraband ganja seized

Bhagalpur, Mar 22 (UNI) Police today seized ganja(hemp) valued at Rs two lakh and arrested a smuggler at Ujani village under Naogachhia police station in the district.

Deputy Police Superintendent Dinesh kumar said that acting on a tip-off, a sleuth of local police raided the residence of one Salim at Ujani village and recovered 2 quintals ganja from his possession.

The consignment was despatched from Nepal and destined for metropolitan cities in the country for sell-off, he added.
