Biscuit Bandits run away with booty

Chennai, Mar 22: Biscuit Bandits today ran away with booty from four passengers of the Kurla-Madurai Express train, after giving them sedative mixed with cold drinks during the journey.

Railway Police sources said, the passengers were found unconscious in a Second Class compartment and it was noticed by a Travel Ticket Examiner (TTE) when the train reached Arakonam station near here.

The Railway authorities provided first aid to the passengers and ensured their admission to the Government General Hospital.

The actual worth of the valuables and other details were not known.

The train was stopped for 30 minutes at Arakonam, following the incident, the sources added.
