AIFB to contest assembly poll

Pondicherry, Mar 22: The All India Forward Block (AIFB) would contest the May 3 and May 8 assembly elections in the Union Territory, party state president Ramakumar said today.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the party would contest seven seats here.

Nellithope, Embalom (SC) Rediyarpalayam, Ariyankuppam, Rajbhavan, Bussy and Lawspet constituencies were identified, he added.

Mr Rajkumar said the party would give opportunities to the educated youth and women.

The Tamil Nadu AIFB president and film actor M Karthik and other national leaders, would visit Pondicherry for electioneering, he added.
