25,000th tipper rolled out
Chennai, Mar 22 (UNI) Automotive Coaches and Components Ltd (ACCL) today rolled out the 25,000th tipper at its works at Gummidipoondi.
Ashok Leyland Managing Director R Seshasayee flagged off the tipper, which was received by Ashok Leyland COO Vinod Dasari, a release here said.
ACCL was set up by Ashok Leyland in 1986, as a captive ancillary unit to offer well-engineered 'after chassis' products to customers at a time when after-chassis products came from unorganised sectors.
ACCL was the largest tipper body manufacturer in the organised sector. Beyond tippers, ACCL's ever-increasing product range featured tankers, bus bodies, outdoor broadcasting vans, energy vans, aluminium containers and front-end structures.
