Budget session in Arunachal from March 21

Itanagar, Mar 19: The Budget session of the fourth Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh will begin here from March 21 to 25.

State Governor S K Singh will address the session during the first day while Finance Minster Kalikho Pul would present the budget for 2006-07 on March 22, Assembly Secretariat sources said today.

The five-day session this time is likely to be a stormy one as the Opposition BJP would try to grill the ruling Congress government on the Apex Bank issue, alleged misuse of funds against centrally sponsored schemes and development of the power sector in the state.

Many important government bills are likely to be passed in the Assembly this session. Besides some resolutions would be adopted during the session, sources added.
