Two convicted officials dismissed from service
New Delhi, Mar 11 (UNI) Two officials of the CBI, convicted to 2-5 years imprisonment on corruption charges, have been dismissed from service.
Inspector K S Rai, on deputation from the Intelligence Bureau, was caught accepting Rs one lakh bribe in April 2003 and sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 50,000 according to the CBI.
Another Inspector, Ranjit Kumar Singh, was charged for obtaning pecuniary benefit to the tune of Rs 12,448 from a transport company against whom an investigation was on. He was given two years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 50,000.
