Trekking for Air Defence Artillery begins

Chandigarh, Mar 11: Brigadier P R Sharma, Brigade Commander, Air Defence Artillery flagged off trekking expedition of Air Defence Artillery Regiment somewhere in the Western Sector today.

Colonel Vijay Kumar, Commanding Officer of the Regiment said that the 22nd Raising Day of the Regiment will be celebrated on March 27 and to mark the occasion a trekking expedition has been organised from Chandimandir to Manali via Katrain, Bhatoling, Chijog and Palchan.

The team would start its trekking from Katrain and would pass through rugged mountains and adverse weather condition. It would also engage in civic action by distributing medical aid to the people living in these remote areas.

The expedition team comprises of two officers, two junior commissioned officers (JCOs) and 20 other ranks.

The team will return back to Chandimandir on March 26.
