Six eminent persons to receive Banga Seva Samman 2006

Kolkata, Mar 11 (UNI) Renowned actor Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Olympian footballer Chuni Goswami, noted writer Buddhadeb Guha, industrialist Harsh Vardhan Neotia and classical dancer Dona Ganguly are among the seven eminent personalities to receive the ''Lifetime Achievement Awards'' for their rich contribution in promoting human values in their respective fields.

Instituted by the well-known charitable trust Dhanawantary Seva Foundation for the first time this year, the ''Banga Seva Samman'' awards would also be given to Father P C Mathew and educationist Professor Abani Roychowdhury.

According to Foundation sources, the ''Samman'' would be handed over to the recipients at a function here tomorrow in presence of a host of other dignitories from the fields of art, culture, sport, literature and Social services.
