Lahore, Mar 11 (UNI) Efforts are on, by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), to find out the whereabouts of Shoaib Akhtar who, it seems, has raised another storm after failing to contact the board officials following his return from Australia after a surgery on both his knees.

Quoting a source in the PCB, ''The News'' reported that the bowler was supposed to come to Islamabad after his return and meet the officials but he has not contacted anybody and the efforts to reach him have also failed.

Akhtar's mobile phone is also reportedly switched off.

Earlier, the doctor who treated him said that the bowler had returned from the airport in Melbourne after complaining of pain in the operated parts.

''Dr David Young said Shoaib had returned from the airport to the hospital and asked for injections to be given in his knees after complaining of pain and problem in the same areas where he was operated upon,'' the daily quoted a board source as saying.

''Dr Young refused to give injections to Shoaib based on some medical presumptions and advised him to return to Pakistan, rest for two months and also carry on his rehabilitation exercises as advised to him.'' The PCB is reportedly unhappy with Shoaib's actions and wants an explanation. But the speedster has eluded the officials and has failed to contact them.

''The Board is not happy with Shoaib going to the doctor for injections without first informing the PCB which sent him to Australia for treatment,'' the source stated.
