Sexually-harassed girl kills father

Dhanbad, Mar 11: A teenaged girl, who had allegedly been sexually abused by her father, killed him yesterday, police today (Mar 11, 2006) said.

The 16-year-old girl confessed before the police of Sudamdih here that she killed Vishwanath Vishwakarma, a railway employee and resident of Mohanpur traffic colony, by slitting his throat with a sickle. Later she smeared his face with chilly powder.

She said she had been subjected to physical abuse for about seven years.

According to her confessional statement, Vishwanath first abused her when she was only nine. But she could not offer any resistence due to fear. Since then he continued to sexually abuse her and even threatend to kill her and her mother if they spoke about it, she said.

After killing him, she rushed to the police station and confessed to her crime.
