RSP dispatches converter bricks to Bokaro Steel Plant

Bhubasneswar, Mar 11 (UNI) In a significant achievement, the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has dispatched the first consignment of Converter bricks worth over Rs two crores to Bokaro Steel Plant.

The consignment was flagged off by RSP Executive Director of Lime Dolomite&Brick Plant (LDBP) B N Singh from the plant on last Thursday.

The consignment, consisting of around 30 tonnes of bricks, will be followed by others to complete the total dispatch of 305 tonnes by the end of March, a RSP release said.

The entire quantity of bricks followed the stringent quality parameters specified by Bokaro Steel Plant which included bulk density, cold crushing strength and retained carbon.

The RSP would also dispatch a similar order for supply of one set of bricks for Durgapur Steel Plant in the near future.
