Rains hit farmers in Rajasthan
Jaipur, Mar 11 (UNI) The incessant rains accompanied by hailstorms have hit the farmers of the state hard, causing extensive damage to the crops.
Harvested crops like mustard, coriander, zeera and esobgul have been damaged by the hailstorm. Ripened crops cut and lying on the fields have been damaged totally. The farmers are complaining that they are not being compensated adequately by the district administration.
The meteorological department has predicted moderate rains, thunderstorms along with hail and squall in the next 24 hours.
There has been a sharp drop of seven to eight degree Celsius in the temperatures bringing in a cool weather, after the unusually warm February this year.
