Rain occurs at few places in interior Karnataka

Bangalore, Mar 11 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over interior Karnataka and at isolated places over coastal Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts(cms): Bangarpet 4, Ankola, Kolar, Chikanahalli 3 each. Gubbi, Yelanhanka 2 each. Nelogi, Shiggoan, Bidar, Santhebennur, Hanhara 1 each.

Maximum temperatures fell markedly at most places over north interior Karnataka, fell at most places over coastal Karnataka and at many places over south interior Karnataka. They were markedly below normal at most places over north interior Karnataka, Below normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over south interior Karnataka and normal over coastal Karnataka.

Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 30.4 degree celsius and Bijapur recorded lowest minimum temperature of 13.5 degree celsius.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over interior Karnataka and at isolated places over coastal Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bullettin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of north interior Karnataka and south interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of coastal Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore City: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night. Maximum and minimum temperature would be around 31 and 19 degree celsius respectively.
