Prime witness in journalist's murder shot dead

Betul, MP, Mar 11 (UNI) A prime witness in the murder of a journalist was today shot dead in broad daylight by four unidentified persons in this district, police said today.

Superintendent of Police Vijay Suryavanshi said the assailants, who were on two motorcycles without numberplates, shot Mayur at point blank range.

Mayur was rushed to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Two cartridges and a loaded magazine were recovered from the spot.

The deceased was prime witness in the murder of journalist Vivek Mishra six months back.
