Police officer killed by militants in north Kashmir

Baramulla, Mar 11 (UNI) Militants shot dead a police officer at Pattan in north Kashmir this afternoon, official sources said.

They said unidentified militants shot at and critically wounded an Assistant Sub-Inspector (Crime branch) Ali Mohammad Malik at main chowk Pattan at 1545 hours.

Mr Malik died before he could be taken to hospital, sources said.
