police Officer dies in Belgaum

Madikeri Mar 11 (UNI) An assistant sub inspector Ajjettira Ponnamma, 55, died in a road accident at Belgaum yesterday.

Ponnamma was serving as an ASI at rural police station, Madikeri and had been to Belgaum for a training along with other lady constables.

The accident occurred at Bagewadi near Belgaum when aA state bus bashed against the KSRP van retuning to Madikeri along with Ponnamma and others. While Ponnamma died on the spot, several others received injuries.
