Normal day temperatures in most parts of India

Pune, Mar 11 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Jammu and Kashmir and were above normal in Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and interior Karnataka and were below normal in interior Orissa and coastal Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in south Madhya Maharashtra and in some parts of west Madhya Pradesh and Telangana and were below normal in some parts of interior Orissa, Jharkhand, south Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Konkan, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh and south interior Karnataka. They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, and north Rajasthan and were above normal in coastal Orissa, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Uttar Pradesh ( east Uttar Pradesh) and few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthana, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan west Bengal and Sikkim, Jammu and KashmirKonkan and Goa and coastal Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail in Gujarat state and Andaman and Nicobar.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, Haryana, HImachal Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Lakshadweep and at many places in Bihar, east uttar Pradesh, Punjab, west Madhya pradesh, marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at isolated places in west Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.
