No phone tapping in MP:BSNL

Bhopal, Mar 11 (UNI) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has denied tapping phones of political leaders, administrative or police officials describing media reports in this regard as baseless.

Claiming that the company strictly adhered to the provisions of Indian Telegraphic Act, BSNL (Bhopal circle) spokesperson said neither directions had been issued for phone tapping nor phone tapping took place in BSNL premises or exchange.

Madhya Pradesh Commerce and Industries Minister Babulal Gaur also described allegations of phone tapping as imaginary and fabricated, as per a statement issued here today.
