Kamat criticises Advani-Rajnath yatras
Mumbai, Mar 11 (UNI) Mumbai Regional Congress Committee President Gurudas Kamat today criticised the proposed 'Bharat Jodo Yatras' of BJP leaders L K Advani and Rajnath Singh and cautioned the people against such ''divisive'' forces.
In a statement here, Mr Kamat condemned the yatras as ''crocodile tears'' being shed by BJP, which pretends to be genuinely concerned about the majority community of India.
The Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Mr Advani, was only ''waiting for an opportunity to come into the limelight by raking up non-existent issues after being humiliatingly dislodged by his own party seniors.'' The Congress MP said the two rathyatras would only add to the tensions in the country at a time when the people were trying to rise above communal tensions.
He also castigated Mumbai BJP leaders Ram Naik, Kirit Somaiya and others for trying to exploit minor issues after being defeated by the people at the hustings.
