Jordan hangs two militants over death of U.S. diplomat

AMMAN, Mar 11 (Reuters) Jordan executed at dawn today two Islamist militants convicted two years ago of killing a US diplomat in Amman in 2002.

Officials told Reuters prison authorities in Swaqa had carried out a court decision to hang Libyan Salem bin Suweid and Jordanian Yasser Freihat who had been serving a death sentence passed in 2004 for murdering US diplomat Laurence Foley in Amman in October 2002.
