J K Institute to celebrate golden jubilee this year

Allahabad, Mar 11 (UNI) J K Institute of Applied Physics and Technology (JKIAPT) will celebrate its golden jubilee this year.

The Institute came into existence due the efforts of first Prime Minister Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, who laid down the foundation stone on January 14, 1949.

He also inagurated the first academic session on April 4, 1954.

JKIAPT is also organising the second national level J K Alumni Meet-cum-Felicitation function tomorrow. Allahabad University's, vice chancellor R G Harshe will be the chief guest.

About 200 alumni will be felicitated at the function.
