ABN AMRO, Barista launch co-branded credit card
New Delhi, Mar 11: ABN AMRO today tied up with the Barista Coffee Company to launch the 'ABN AMRO Barista Credit Card', India's first co-branded Credit Card with a coffee chain.
Speaking on the occasion, ABN AMRO Bank Executive Vice President&Country Representative Romesh Sobti said, ''Our tie-up with Barista to launch the new co-branded credit card further strengthens the relationship that both the companies have cherished since the launch of Bancafe - a first of its kind initiative in the banking industry.'' The tie-up leverages ABN AMRO Bank's ability to provide creative solutions for customers' spending needs and Barista's market leadership position in the rapidly growing beverages business, specially the out-of-home segment.
Commenting on the association, Barista Coffee Company Ltd CEO Partha Dattagupta said, ''In our endeavour to provide value added products and enhanced experience to our consumers, we at Barista constantly focus on product innovations and services.'' Cardholders earn 15 reward points for every Rs 100 spent at any Barista outlet across India, and can also use these points to purchase anything from food to beverages from a Barista. In addition, new card members also get gift vouchers worth Rs 300 from Barista.
Cardholders can even earn reward points when they use the card outside a Barista, earning 2 points for every Rs 100 spent.
Existing ABN AMRO credit card holders can get the ABN AMRO Barista card as an add-on card, to enjoy these benefits.
The card also offers other benefits like a zero per cent surcharge on petrol bills, free personal accident cover up to Rs 10 lakh and free credit shield up to Rs 20,000. Further, this card offers discounts on books, music, watches and perfumes through tie-ups with renowned retail brands.
The Card will be valid across 23 million MasterCard points worldwide.
