Sonia Gandhi condemns blasts in Varanasi
New Delhi, Mar 7: Congress President Sonia Gandhi today (Mar 7, 2006) expressed deep concern and anguish at the loss of life in the twin blasts in Varanasi.
In a condolence message, Ms Gandhi condemned the ''mindless acts of terrorism'' and called upon the people to maintain peace "in these testing times".
At least six people were killed and more than 30 injured in the twin blasts which took place at the Sankatmochan Temple and Cantonment Railway Station in Varanasi.
