New Delhi, Mar 7: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajnath Singh today (Mar 7, 2006) blamed the soft and encouraging attitude of the UPA Government towards terrorists activities as being responsible for the attack on Sankat Mochan temple in the pilgrim city of Varanasi this evening killing atleast six people.

BJP President Rajnath Singh told reporters he 'could not rule out' the involvement of the ruling Samajwadi Party after a reporter pointed to the taped conversation between two top leaders stating that there should be communal riots.

Mr Rajnath Singh, himself a former U P Chief Minister, said he was planning to visit Varanasi.

Mr Kalyan Singh, another former U P Chief Minister, demanded immediate sacking of the SP Government for its attempt to push the state towards communal violence. It had happened in Mau, Lucknow and now the blasts in Varanasi and there should be CBI probe, he urged.
