Rajnath to reach Varanasi: UP Bandh tomorrow
Lucknow, Mar 7: BJP president Rajnath Singh will visit Varanasi tomorrow, accompanied by other senior party leaders following the twin blasts in the temple town this evening.
Meanwhile, the BJP has called for 'Uttar Pradesh Bandh' tomorrow to protest the blast at Sankatmochan temple in Varanasi.
Demanding immediate dismissal of the Mulayam Singh Yadav government in UP, state BJP president Keshri Nath Tripathi said the dispensation had failed to fight terrorism.
Mr Tripathi confirmed that the BJP president and other party leaders, including him, would visit Varanasi tomorrow.
Giving a call for UP Bandh, he claimed that recent incidents of violence in UP had clearly pointed out nexus between the terrorists and the SP regime.
''The recent communal riots in Lucknow, Muzaffarnagar and Mau, besides killing of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai are the handiwork of the foreign mercenaries harboured by the Mulayam government,'' he said.
Meanwhile, Congress and BSP also condemned the blasts.
While, BSP alleged it was a conspiracy hatched by the Samajwadi Party-led government to divert people's attention, the Congress claimed it showed the failure of the UP government in containing terrorism.
