2 CRPF jawans among 20 injured in blast
Srinagar, Mar 05: At least 20 people, including two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, were wounded in a grenade attack by the militants near a bus terminal in Pulwama, about 30 km from here, in south Kashmir today (Mar 05, 2006), police said.
They said militants hurled a hand grenade towards the CRPF patrol party near the Pulwama bus terminal at around 1215 hrs this afternoon.
However, the grenade missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside, causing injuries to at least 20 people, including two CRPF jawans, police added.
The wounded have been shifted to the Pulwama district hospital.
However, four critically injured were later referred to a Srinagar hospital.
So far no militant outfit has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
A massive hunt has been launched in the area to nab the attackers, police said.
