Top golfers for Business Today Pro-Am Golf

New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) Leading golfers, including Ashok Kumar, S S P Chowrasia, Mukesh Kumar, Vijay Kumar and Feroz Ali will be seen in action in the 11th Business Today Ballantine's Pro-Am of Champions Golf to be held at the Jack Nicklaus designed Classic Golf Resort in Gurgaon from tomorrow.

The two-day event, carrying a Rs 10 lakh as prize money for the Pros, will culminate in a grand finale on Sunday, that will see India's best golfing CEOs come together with the top tour professionals to participate in the finals.

The field for the event includes 20 top professionals who will team up with over 100 top CEOs, industrialists and bureaucrats over two days of exciting golf.

Other leading golfers slated to participate are defending champion Gurbazz Mann, two time Indian Open champion Ali Sher, Jaiveer Virk, Digvijay Singh, Arjun Singh, Rafick Ali, Amardip Singh Malik, U S Mundy, Harinder Gupta, Rahul Ganapathy, Amritinder Singh, Vivek Bhandari, Yusuf Ali, Vinod Kumar and Shamim Khan.

The tournament will be played on stableford format where 75 per cent of the original handicap of the amateur will be taken into account.

There is a minimum guarantee of Rs 25,000 for every pro. The pro in the winning team will win Rs. 60,000 while the one in the runner-up team will be richer by Rs. 40,000. The best individual pro score over 36 holes will win Rs. 1 lakh.

The three amateurs in the winning team will be rewarded with an all-expenses paid trip to Chicago for two while the amateurs in the runner-up team will get an all expenses paid trip for two for Koh Samui Resort, Thailand.
