Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy today revoked the suspension of 31 Telugu Desam Party (TDP) members.

Moving the motion for revoking the suspension, Legislative Affairs Minister K Rosaiah said the government, in fact, never wanted any stringent action against the TDP members.

It was forced to take action only to maintain decorum in the House. Acceding to the request of other parties in the Opposition, including the BJP, he was moving the motion, the Minister said.

Supporting the TDP's demand, TRS member Mandadi Satyanarayana maintained the House should discuss the Election Commission's 'unprecedented' decision of countermanding elections to the Vishakapatnam I Assembly constituency.

The Speaker assured him that he would look into their demand. All the TDP members in the House, except Leader of the Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu, were suspended yesterday from the Assembly for two days for disrupting proceedings during the ongoing Budget session.

The TDP members had insisted on an immediate debate on their adjournment motion on annullment of the byelection order.
