Ranchi, Mar 02: Jharkhand Assembly speaker Inder Singh Namdhari today rejected a notice of a left party MLA to bring a proposal in the house to oppose the ongoing visit of US President George W Bush.

CPI-ML MLA Vinod Singh, in his notice during zero hour, sought to bring a proposal to oppose Mr Bush's visit saying that America was trying to 'attack' the sovereignty of India on many issues, including the country's vote on the Iran nuclear deal.

Rejecting the notice, Mr Namdhari said such issues could not be discussed in the assembly. ''Only Parliament was the place where these could be raised,'' he added and rejected Mr Singh's request to let him read the proposal in the house. However, amid the chaos Mr Singh read a part of his proposal.
