Second part of budget after assembly polls: NDA
New Delhi, Mar 02: The National Democratic Alliance have decided to seek second part of the Budget Session of Parliament after the Assembly elections in five states, scheduled to be held in April and May.
The decision was taken at a meeting of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders, who met at the chamber of leader of opposition L K Advani. The meet came in response to a query from the government asking the opposition grouping for its views on the timing of the second part of the budget session, BJP Parliamentary Party spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra said.
He said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) , which was scheduled to hold its National Executive in the last week of this month at Guwahati, has postponed the meeting to a later date.
The new date will be announced shortly, he said.
