NABARD funds for school buildings in AP: Minister
Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI)The Andhra Pradesh Government will construct permanent school buildings with Rs 360.9 crore assistance from the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development(NABARD), Primary Education Minister N Rajyalakshmi informed the State Assembly today.
Replying to Ms V Sunitha Laxma Reddy (Cong) and others, she said the construction of buidlings for 1,176 high schools started last month and the work would be completed in three years.
Replying to Mr Naresh Kumar Agarwal, Social Welfare Minister Redya Naik said there was no proposal to include the Kandra Community in Srikakulam district in the list of Scheduled Castes as in neighbouring Orissa.
Replying to Mr G S S Sivaji (TDP) and others, Mr Naik denied diversion of funds pertaining to SC Corporation, Special Component Plan and Tribal Sub-plan to the Assembly Constituency Development Programme.
