Manmohan, Bush begin one-on-one talks

New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President George Bush today went into talks for finalising the Civilian Nuclear Energy agreement and strengthening bilateral cooperation in various fields including ushering in a second Green Revolution in India.

Mr Bush and Dr Singh, who will lead their respective countries at the talks at the majestic Hyderabad House, started with one-on-one talks.

Before beginning, the two leaders shook hands and posed for the photographers and television cameras.

Many other agreements are likely to be signed between the two sides.

President Bush, who arrived here yesterday from Afghanistan for a three-day visit, his first and fifth by a US President to India, was given a ceremonial reception at Rastrapati Bhavan.

He later went to Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi.
