Man arrested for jumping onto Metro rail track

New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) A person was arrested today for unauthorisedly intruding onto the Delhi Metro rail tracks at Shadipur Metro Station on the Barakhamba Road-Dwarka line in West Delhi.

The incident happened at 1155 hrs when one Raj Kumar, 22, attempted to cross the platforms by jumping onto the tracks, Delhi Metro Rail Corp sources said.

Driver of an on-coming train applied emergency brakes and was able to save his life.

The person was apprehended and handed over to the Patel Nagar Police Station.
