Govt to close down public undertakings
Patna, Mar 02: The Bihar government will not review the decision of closing down loss making public undertakings.
Replying to a starred question of Congress member Arun Kumar in the state legislative council, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said that majority of public undertakings were incurring losses and a decision to close 18 of these was taken in 2003 and preceding years. He said the process for closing down such units was underway.
To a question of Samata Party's P K Sinha Mr Modi said the government was not considering to wind up state bridge construction corporation.
