Train derailment hits traffic on Bhatni-Varanasi route
Gorakhpur, Mar 1 (UNI) Rail services on the Bhatni-Varanasi route were thrown out of gear, following the derailment of ten bogies of a passenger train today, between the Kridiharapur and Indara railway stations of Varanasi division of North Eastern Railway (NER).
The NER spokesperson said here today that the accident occured when ten bogies of Bhatni-Manduadih passenger train went off the tracks between Kridiharapur and Indara railway stations. No casuality, was reported in the accident.
The derailment affected normal traffic on the rail route with many trains being diverted through an alternative route, while some other trains were cancelled.
