Rs 16,000 crore investment expected in MP: Gaur
Bhopal, Mar 1 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Commerce and Industries Minister Babulal Gaur today said an investment of Rs 16,000 crore is expected in the industrial sector in the state as a result of the government's efforts during the past two years.
Mr Gaur told reporters at the Vidhan Sabha premises here today that this included a refinery to be set up at Agasaud in Bundelkhand region at an estimated cost of Rs 10,300 crore.
He said the government's efforts had helped in attracting fresh proposals for investment to the tune of Rs 7,870 crore with concessional packages being approved for proposals worth Rs 4,050 crore.
The minister said a memorandum has been inked with J P Industries, Rewa, regarding setting up of 1000-MW thermal power station on January 27. The project's cost is estimated to be more than Rs 4,000 crore.
He claimed that proposals worth Rs 35,000 crore had been received to establish power plants.
All issues pertaining to implementation of ISN International's 2000 MW thermal power project in Sidhi is about to be finalised.
Mr Gaur added that Rs 52,000 crore worth investment will be implemented in the state in phases.
